It retains it’s original dry crusty paint. The eyes are made of copper rivets to simulate the red eyes of a loon. The loon is often seen on the lakes and ponds here in central Vermont, so this would have been used by hunters in this area. The bottom has a stack of washers bolted on to it for weight to aid in balancing it to float correctly. Loon decoys are not very common. The measurements are 14 inches long 6 3/4 inches high by 5 1/4 inches wide.
Condition as follows; minor paint loss, some checking , head has come loose.
